Students will gain competency in entry-level college math skills use Excel spreadsheet software to perform mathematical and financial computations apply math skills to financial decisions such as loan payments, savings, and budgeting and discuss provident living topics (e.g., self-reliance, stewardship, and personal finance).Īll religion courses taken through BYU-Pathway Worldwide will be accepted as the equivalent religious course offered at BYUH for two credits. MATH 100G is designed to help students recap, learn, and retain the fundamentals of basic mathematics and algebra. MATH 100G/100L INTRO TO ALGEBRA AND FINANCE* – 3 CREDITS (BYUH equivalent course: 100TC General Elective Credit) Topics in this course include: understanding the writing process writing effective sentences, paragraphs, and short essays patterns of organization rhetorical modes and purposes audience analysis the composing process and editing. WRNS Studio shared a brief summary of a few lesson plans that were shared by the campus before leading a series of interactive exercises that focused on understanding the evolving pedagogies through the lenses of Skills, Learning Styles, Experimental, Inclusivity, Mindfulness and Beyond. Faculty and Deans were then encouraged to create new drafts of “ideal” lesson plans of the future, taking into consideration two arcs: the semester and the class period. This workshop was set up to engage with the faculty to catalyze “transformational” thinking about the future of teaching and learning environments.
